Stop this Madness ‘and OK’ are two of the things you’ll often hear me say in my daily life or in our workshops if you attend. Listening to countless stories over the years you begin to recognize patterns and common responses. Here is a list of some the responses I’ve heard. My initial response to such statements - Stop this Madness and If one continues to stay S.O.S (Stuck on Stupid), I just say – OK!
Here is a list:
He’s the marrying kind.
I wish I could have or be like…
He’s goes to church so he must be a good guy.
I can’t live without him.
He’s the one.
I’m not pretty.
We had a definite connection.
He comes from a good family.
If I just had this - things would be different
He knows in his heart we belong together.
There no one else for me.
I bet he’s a good dad.
Look how he attends to his mother. That’s endearing.
I want a real man.
I can’t do that, I’m no good at anything.

A scorpion and a frog meet on the bank of a stream and the scorpion asks the frog to carry him across on its back because the scorpion cannot swim. The frog asks, "How do I know you won't sting me?" The scorpion says, "Because if I do, I will die too."
The frog is satisfied, and they set out, but in midstream, the scorpion stings the frog. The frog feels the onset of paralysis and starts to sink, knowing they both will drown, but has just enough time to gasp "Why?"
Replies the scorpion: "It's my nature..."
The moral of the story: Sometimes a surprise ending isn’t actually a surprise after all.
