Introduction
This letter is written for my three Beautiful Daughters that God has blessed me with. I probably should’ve written this years ago considering your ages are 22, 15, and 10 but better late than never. I’ve always been better at verbalizing my feelings rather than writing them and I can hear you girls saying in unison “we know dad, you always have something to say!” Yes, that’s true; and thank God I do. Listen, you Sunflowers will always be My Little Girl (s) and I believe that you feel fortunate to have a father that speaks to you as honestly as I do. Some fathers don’t say enough and many girls don’t have a father around to talk to. That’s a shame because it may not be by choice ~ maybe Papa Was A Rolling Stone.
Girls, this may be the most frank conversation we’ve ever had and I can already see you rolling your eyes, but humor me by allowing me to enlighten you as I just might know what I’m talking about or I may be Crazy, take your pick. It’s obvious I can’t cover the issues as in-depth as I would like but I’ll pick one or two and we can talk about the rest over a lifetime. Maybe I’ll finish writing my book one day. Like most fathers I want the best for my girls, so, in order for My Wish to come true it’s vital that you learn to Listen, Shake It Off. and then Stand.
