Chapter 1

Since the day you girls were born it has been my job as your father to love you unconditionally; teach and train you to avoid the Hard Knock Life, and assist you in avoiding the gender Battlefield, Actually, that's impossible but I can help limit the number of Bad Romance(s) you encounter.  I'm not sure if I'm the best person to teach you these things but in the lottery pick, you got me.  How lucky are you?  From my perspective, the only way I know how to do this is to be honest. Within reason. They say that honesty is the best policy and I'd rather you be prepared than scared.  Don't worry; my objective is to make you Bulletproof to handle the La, La, La so that you may remain Fabulous.

Girls, the story of your life is still Unwritten and you're the author, right? You should be or you will be, after reading this letter.  Are you able to tell me how this chapter ends and the next one begins? I want you to know because it's your story.  Regardless of the number of battlefields you encounter you should learn something valuable from their outcomes.  Maybe you'll learn something about you or your friends, certain circumstances, or even attitudes.  I expect you to live and learn something along the way because this is crucial intelligence, vital to a successful operation.  It will assist you in being able to decipher what you want, and it's the necessary first step in getting what you want.                            

  
As you can see, I'm just a man:  father; husband; teacher; mentor; counselor; entrepreneur; coach; role model, personal trainer and athlete.  I've been: lied to; lied on; cheated on; been the cheater; deceived in business; denied promotions; sold out; experienced success; experienced failure and I'm still standing.  I consider myself extremely loving, happy, humble, trustworthy, driven, forgiving, giving, and optimistic. I'm A Bit Old-Fashioned, have unshakable faith in myself and I believe in God!  As your father I am here to say: I am neither perfect nor innocent; never have been and wouldn't want to be. I've had my fair share of Oops I Did It Again moments. I've been many things and made plenty of mistakes in my life and it is because of my experiences, that I'm Alive .  I wouldn't change a thing because it's about The Climb. (Okay some things.

I don't have to tell you that being a girl has never been easy and it's even harder today.  I can see that and, I'm a guy.  Girls face things like depression over self image; a host of abuses; suicide; teen pregnancies; sexual harassment; bullying; mental manipulation; self destruction; drugs and more. From the looks of things in general, girls are already in a crisis.  Add love and Boots and Boys to this scenario and ˜Houston, we have a problem'. 

Listen, I can see from the look on your face and your body language that Parents Just Don't Understand.  It's a wonder we made it this far.  What possibly could we know about Girls & Boys being that we're from the prehistoric era?  Actually, According To You, nothing makes sense unless he's Kissin U then it all start to make sense. Go figure!  Now the words coming from my mouth sound like Blah, Blah, Blah. 

As you get older you'll be thankful to have this Dinosaur that comes with suggestions and quotes, who'll teach you how to Brush Your Shoulders Off. He also comes with a journal to help you hopefully write your own Hallelujah Song, how cool is that?  Maybe the song that you write will become The Anthem for all girls.  Here comes your first quote by the late John Wooden that says It's what you learn after you know it all that counts.  I guess that's when you realize A New Day Has Come.

No matter what you choose to believe, I believe that there is a war on girls all over the world. Just look around you and there is plenty of evidence.  I don't mean war in a literal sense where you're in physical combat on a daily basis although, some are.  Let's be real: as females you're in control of what boys and men want, need, crave and can't live without ~ Butterscotch.  As males with plenty of testosterone, we have a tactical plan passed on by our predecessors on how to get it. The ultimate task is get to the goods as soon as possible and the more the merrier, the younger the deadlier.  A calculated strategy will be put into place - get to your most precious resource, commonly known as big oil in politics.

Now, if your adversaries (boys/men) happen to reach their main target sooner than later, it's mission accomplished for them.  For you, it's Today Was A Fairytale and not just some Ordinary Day. You'll say, Dad He's Just So wonderful that this is Our Song.  Actually, One Worddescribes him best - he's Amazing!

Let me guess, he's One In A Million, No I got it, he's the 8th Wonder of the World.
I'm really thinking, I'm sure we had that conversation about No Scrubs.  Just please don't let it be The Real Slim Shady who happens to be your Candyman.
